The client is a global investor and asset manager specialized in developing, financing, and managing long-term public infrastructure projects . The firm invests in sustainable infrastructure that contributes to economic development and environmental stewardship, such as transportation networks, social infrastructure, energy, and environmental projects.
The client is developing a coastline project in Mauritania's capital city, Nouakchott, which has a population of 1.5 million with one-third of the city below sea level. The project aims to reinforce the natural dune cordon that has been damaged by human activities and develop areas along the coastline to benefit the local population. The project includes a mix of new infrastructures and urban developments. The project is structured as a 50-50 joint venture between the client and the Mauritanian government, with the client providing equity and the government providing land.
The project is at detailed study stage.
In this context, the client is seeking an Analyst to support the Project Finance Specialist in fundraising from DFIs and other lenders, as well as secure grants for the project.

Responsibilities
- Financial Modelling: Develop, refine, and maintain complex financial models to support project finance transactions, including cash flow projections, debt sizing, sensitivity analysis, and scenario testing.
- Transaction Support: Assist in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of project finance deals. Prepare detailed term sheets, information memoranda, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth due diligence on projects, including market analysis, technical reviews, legal documentation, and financial statement analysis to assess the viability and risks associated with investments. Credit Analysis: Prepare and present detailed credit analysis and risk assessments.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with client, external advisors, and other stakeholders to facilitate transaction execution. Provide client with high-quality financial analysis and advice.
- Documentation & Reporting: Assist in the preparation of legal and financial documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements. Prepare regular reports on project progress and financial performance.
Requirements
Experience required
3-4 years' experience working in financial institutionsExperience in Africa would be a bonus
Technical requirements
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other fundraising tools. Experienced in financial institutions, particularly in project finance, capital markets, or private equity.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions.
