Our client a leader in the luxury retail industry is looking for a skilled HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join their Cape Town team. The HRBP will act as a strategic partner to the organization's leadership team, providing expertise and support in all areas of human resources management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR practices, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
An HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a crucial role in aligning human resources strategies with the overall business objectives of the organization. This professional is responsible for fostering a positive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and contributing to the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Organizational Design
Assist in designing and maintaining effective organizational structures.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to update job descriptions.
Policies and Procedures
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Support the implementation and improvement of HR Policies and Processes.
Selection and Recruitment
Manage the entire recruitment process from sign-off to onboarding, ensuring a seamless process
Assist in developing job descriptions.
Ensure vacancies are within budget and appropriate to the position & candidate
Ensure compliance with data management and POPI regulations.
Manage financial costs related to criminal and credential checks.
Align recruitment activities with the company's employment equity plan.
Maintain compliance with recruitment policies and employment contracts.
Assist with development and implement recruitment programs and strategies.
Industrial Relations/Employee Relations
Address employee grievances and provide necessary support.
Provide guidance and representation in warning and disciplinary processes.
Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act (LRA).
Performance Management
Support managers in handling disciplinary and misconduct issues.
Assist in managing poor performance cases.
Oversee probation management.
Champion the KPI conversations, ensuring that the Performance Management process is managed effectively
Work with the Training Manager to ensure training requirements develop capacity and competency of current staff complement
Ensure that Onboarding and Probation periods are effectively managed and documented.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or experience in Human Resources with a graduate qualification in business / law / human sciences
Labor Relations certification – may be advantageous.
Valid RSA driver’s license
Able to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Able to maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance
High energy levels and focus
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
