HSB are currently seeking an experienced Non-Executive Director, preferably with experience of working in a complex corporate structure.To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a strong track record of achievement in more than one organisation at a senior level. Previous experience of working in the Insurance sector is essential for this opportunity. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, ideally with operational or service delivery experience and the ability to evidence successful execution.Time Commitment:Approximately 25 days per year which includes four meetings each of the HSBEIL Board, Audit Committee and Risk Committee, as well as two Remuneration and Nomination Committee meetings each year. The role played by an iNED of HSBEIL is to:Recognise HSBEIL’s position within the wider corporate structure and provide leadership of the Company within a framework of prudent and effective controls which enable risk and opportunities to be assessed and managed; Facilitate the collective achievement of the Company’s strategic aims and financial targets, having due regard to the strategic framework of the wider HSB/Munich Re Group within which HSBEIL operates, oversee the executive directors in ensuring that the necessary financial and human resources are in place for the Company to meet its objectives, and review management performance; and Safeguard the good name and values of the Company and ensure that its obligations to the regulator and other appropriate parties/stakeholders are understood and met.
