Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Falkirk, is currently looking to recruit a Junior Sous Chef for a until 31st October 2024 contract on a rate of £13.52/hour PAYE. The working hours for this role will be 7.30am – 4.30pm, 4 days a week - 32 hours a week.Responsibilities:- Daily running of the kitchen- Food preparation as required- Working alongside Head & Sous Chef and the front of house team to ensure the smooth running of the organisation’s offer- Wood fired Pizza Oven on occasion - Ensuring health and safety records are kept up to date.- Managing food purchase and storage- Menu planning and managing COS in line with budgets - Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.- Be aware of the food preparation level during busy and quiet times.Essential Skills:- NVQ Level 2 or above in Catering- Minimum Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate - Previous experience working in a similar role- Good communication and team working- Highly organised with excellent planning- Able to work under pressure in a high-paced environment- A full driving licenceIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
