To be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes, and driving continuous improvement across all functional areas. Working closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovation, enforce best practices, and contribute to the strategic growth of the firm. Although the firm is over 45 years old, over the last five years the business has seen just over a 400% growth in claims throughput via technology developments, resource structure and change management function, this has allowed us to partner with some of the UK’s biggest household names within a range of specialist sectors. The emphasis has now moved from data processing and management to enhancing the customer experience; whilst being aware of our product’s technical nature and that the client is the authorising insurer. This means developing the culture so that customers get, and understand a fair outcome, in line with the FCA, Customer duty requirements, and the commercial expectations of the business.About the JobThe role involves understanding the firm's ambition to be ‘best of breed’ and translating this into everyday outcomes. It will involve developing the culture of the firm, applying project-based skills within the team and understanding how to demonstrate resulting achievements through effective use of KPIs.The role will involve being part of a dynamic senior management structure that will look to the successful candidate to provide leadership by example and add to the team-based ethos in place at present. This role will make a significant impact on the company's growth and success while progressing in your career. The successful candidate will have worked in a hands-on management role, and ideally have good practical insurance knowledge and financial understanding. Previous career accomplishments will have shown skill around out-sourcing, development and oversight of consistent processes, people development and supporting colleagues. Your ProfileThe right candidate will be data-driven, analytical, and financially literate with excellent attention to detail, and good people skills. You’ll also be able to communicate and present data to the team. While having a record of past achievements in the insurance sector, with extensive operational and project management experience. We are looking for:A senior leader with a minimum of 4 years of proven experience in nurturing, implementing and leading operational activity in a related industry.Insurance knowledge and regulatory background are a must. Financial and commercial literacy with the ability to understand the financial data and reports to base your decisions and business recommendations. A customer service champion, experienced in leading a culture of service quality, whilst ensuring cost-effectiveness for customers and shareholders.Able to build and develop a compelling functional strategy and proposition – scanning external trends to inform their thinking.Strong commercial acumen. Some experience or knowledge of pricing and commercial modelling will help create a healthy understanding of our partnerships, present and future while allowing you to support business decisions.
