The Partnerships Assistant will work mainly across Corporate, Major Donor and Trusts, providing administrative support and will also equip the team with prospect research when required. You will work closely with the Public Fundraising Assistant. This is a great role for someone with strong time management, multi-tasking skills and importantly, a curious mind that would like to develop their skills in relationship fundraising.Responsible to: Director of DevelopmentDirect Report: N/AWorking hours and contract: This is permanent, full time role. We will consider part time and flexible arrangements. Salary: £24k - £25k annually Location: Aldgate E1 and hybrid working. Minimum two days in the office and external meetings and events as required. Role Responsibilities · Research new Corporate Partner and Major Donor opportunities · Provide general administration across the high value team as required.· Take incoming calls and triage appropriately.· Monitor sector press for opportunities.· Provide analytical support as required by the Director of Development.· Work closely with the Special Events team, supporting delivery of successful high value fundraising events and stewardship opportunities.· Provide CRM reports as required· Confidently present the key messages of the organisation at events, via phone and email.· Work closely with the high value managers to grow relationships beyond their current support level. Other· Become fully conversant with the aims and objectives of the organisation · Keep up to date with developments in the sector and key new initiatives in our field. · To work at all times in compliance with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice and data protection legislation.· Provide ad hoc support to the Public Fundraising team and Database Manager· Join the ‘cheer team’ at events such as London Marathon, Ride London and other out of hours events as necessary. Person specificationDesirable skills, knowledge & experience · Minimum of one year work experience in a fast-paced administrational or prospect research role.· Strong use of Excel, Power Point and Word.· Managing multiple workstreams and deadlines. · Understanding and experience of working within the requirements of the Code of Fundraising Practice and data protection legislation. Personal qualities · An understanding of and commitment to the sight loss community.· Strong communication skills and presentation style.· Evidence of financial fluency.· Flexibility and a practical, can-do attitude.· Highly motivated and able to juggle a varied workload.· Personable, with excellent listening skills.· Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. · Growth mindset Flexibility The role description is a general outline of duties and responsibilities and may be amended as we grow.
