Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in quantity surveying to contribute to various projects and help drive the company’s success.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing project budgets and procurement schedules.
- Procuring and managing subcontractor packages.
- Preparing monthly valuations, cost reports and subcontractor payment valuations.
- Overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers and external service providers.
- Coordinating procurement of materials not included in works packages.
- Monitoring and administering the construction contract and reporting on delays/disruptions.
- Agreeing subcontractor variations and ensuring full recovery under the main contract.
- Compiling and updating project cash flow projections and reporting to accounts department.
- Preparing and negotiating final accounts.
- Assisting in tendering for new projects.
- Will report directly to and work closely with the Senior Management/Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure company business objectives are met and expected project profit margins are exceeded.
- Must develop and maintain good working relationships with all project stakeholders - internally and externally.
- Assist with construction programme development.
Skills:
- Proficient in the use of MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
- Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.
- Ability to coordinate several varied projects.
- Proficiency in CCS candy.
Qualifications:
- Bsc Quantity Surveyor or Bsc Quantity Surveyor Honours or B-tec degree.
- 3-5 years’ experience.
- Ideally will have experience of a range of projects including Residential, Commercial, Retail, Pharma and Public works
