Our client in the Textile Industry is seeking a skilled and high-performing Sales Manager to meet customer requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing the sales team’s potential, crafting sales plans, and setting revenue growth targets to keep the company competitive and innovative.
Responsibilities:
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Drive the Sheraton Textiles sales portfolio with the Key Account Managers.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while staying fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Acquire new clients and manage key accounts.
- Lead conversion from various marketing channels.
- Create short- and long-term sales plans with the intention of meeting objectives.
- Consistently meet revenue goals in accordance with team/organizational goals.
- Actively look for opportunities to upsell and cross-sell to existing customers.
- Recognize customer needs and provide insights for improving the product portfolio based on customer interactions and feedback.
- Present sales, profit margins, expense reports, and realistic forecasts to the executive team and board.
- Manage, oversee, and guide Key Account Managers in their respective portfolios with their customers.
- Coach, train, and manage a team of Key Account Managers.
- Assess individual performance through observation and measurement.
- Set goals, performance targets, and conduct reviews across the team of Key Account Managers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Textile manufacturing environment for at least 5 years.
- Ambitious with a proven track record of success in a sales environment.
- 5-10 years’ experience in a managerial position and in managing a team.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of working within a fast-paced sales environment.
- Proven experience in sales reporting and effective critical path management.
- Strong product knowledge.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the aptitude for building relationships at all organizational levels.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Financial skills with the ability to set up and interpret financial reports.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve or exceed sales and margin targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to follow through on customer contracts.
- Tertiary qualification is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
