Overview
A leading solar company in Cape Town is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team.
The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:
Coordinate all orders from various departments:
Trade Installations Warehouse
Place orders with various Suppliers:
Ensure introductory call/email is sent to all Suppliers
Negotiating prices for goods and services to ensure that they are fair market value:
Maintain strong supplier relationships Negotiate bulk pricing Keep pace with new suppliers in the market
Coordinating with suppliers to ensure that they deliver on time and meet quality standards:
Liaise with various departments on delivery lead times
Managing inventory levels of materials and supplies:
Identify bill of quantities needed for all departments Ensure bill of quantities are always met Provide monthly reporting on stock movements and changes made to MOQ Identify and manage “dead stock” identified Report on stocktake findings and implement stock control procedures to be followed
Ensuring that system pricing is correct:
Request price list monthly from main suppliers and ensure that pricing remains accurate
Key requirements:
Relevant Bachelors/Diploma in Supply Chain or equivalent Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar industry MS Suite proficient
