Our client is seeing an experienced Assistant Catering Manager to join the Grahamstown team,
· Lead and motivate a team of catering staff,
· Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing and cohesive team.
· Plan and coordinate catering services for a variety of events,
· Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences.
· Create and update diverse menus that cater to different tastes, dietary restrictions, and cultural preferences.
· Work closely with chefs to ensure the highest quality of food and presentation.
· Develop and manage catering budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
· Monitor expenses, negotiate supplier contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
· Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure the consistency and excellence of catering services.
· Conduct regular inspections and evaluations to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
Requirements
· Grade 12
· Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred,
· Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
· Valid drivers license
· Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations.
