About the Role:
As the Technical Lead for High-Value Payments Systems at Electrum, you will be pivotal in driving the technical design and implementation of critical systems, particularly focusing on SWIFT and SAMOS RTGS. You will play a key role in ensuring the success of payments projects through your expertise in software development, solution architecture, and team leadership.
Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise: Lead software development efforts, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices. Design and review architectural solutions, mentoring junior developers to enhance their skills.
High-Value Payments : Guide and lead projects for the implementation of SWIFT and SAMOS RTGS systems, leveraging your deep subject matter expertise.
Software Delivery : Collaborate with project, product, and professional services teams to define and deliver projects efficiently. Prioritise initiatives based on technical and payments industry knowledge.
Team Leadership: Set clear technical goals and milestones, foster the technical growth of team members, and cultivate a cohesive team culture aligned with Electrum's vision and strategy.
Performance Management: Assist in performance reviews, providing guidance on technical growth areas for team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- 2+ years of experience in the payments industry as a developer.
- 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing payments processing systems for SWIFT and/or SAMOS RTGS.
Beneficial Experience
- Experience with the following technologies or concepts:
- Containerising Java applications
- ArgoCD
- Kubernetes
- Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with cloud environments (e.g. familiarity in building software using AWS/Azure/GCP hosted infrastructure)
