Duties & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in Battery Energy Storage Systems. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of and hands-on experience in designing, testing, and implementing BESS solutions. You will play a pivotal role in developing innovative strategies to optimize energy storage, enhance system efficiency, and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and optimize Battery Energy Storage Systems for various applications, including grid stabilization, renewable energy integration, and peak shaving.
- Conduct detailed feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate the performance and viability of BESS projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized solutions tailored to meet client requirements and project objectives.
- Perform system modeling, simulation, and performance evaluations to optimize battery configurations and control strategies.
- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and deployment of BESS installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and support to project managers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in battery technology, energy storage systems, and renewable energy trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in designing, testing, and implementing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, control systems, and energy management algorithms.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations governing energy storage systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve complex engineering problems and optimize system performance.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Prior experience with renewable energy projects or grid integration is a plus.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) are desirable but not required.
