RPO Recruitment's client in KwaZulu-Natal is currently looking for an Accountant. Their responsibility is to maintain oversight of inter-company accounts and effectively oversee non-gaming revenue and food and beverage cost management in accordance with necessary standards and in full adherence to relevant legal and accounting regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safeguard and manage company funds and assets while overseeing accounting systems
- Analyze operational outcomes and propose cost-cutting and profit-enhancing strategies for Executive Management review
- Ensure accurate accounting classification for all expenses, both operating and capital
- Prepare internal and external financial statements
- Enforce internal accounting and administrative controls to ensure accurate transaction handling
- Develop long-term plans and budget requirements to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
- Stay updated on industry trends and share relevant information with employees
- Manage statutory tax calculations and administration
- Implement techniques to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and cost savings
Requirements - 1-2 years management experience preferably in the Gaming or Hospitality industry
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Preference will be given to PDI candidates
- Relevant Degree in Finance or equivalent
Benefits - Salary: R420K/yr - R456K/yr, negotiable
