IT Business Process Manager (m/f/d) Laboratory Data Acquisition System

Your job mission:
The IT Business Process Manager (m/f/d) is part of the Quality Assurance (QA) team and acts as a link between business and JTI Global IT teams to ensure the business can meet the established objectives in a timely manner. The post holder is responsible for, but not limited to, maintenance, and improvement of the laboratory data acquisition system QIMS (Quality Information Management System).
QIMS is designed to cover quality assurance processes for all QA laboratories in JTI and quality control processes for all JTI production plants. QIMS is a suite of software modules covering material specification management, sample test scope management, online data acquisition and relevant derived calculation for sample measurement results, evaluation of sample measurement results against internal quality standards and market regulation requirements, analysis and reporting for internal processes or to internal and external customers.
- Responsible for the QIMS application for all QA laboratories in 3 different locations
- Responsible for QIMS configuration, permissions, maintenance setup and continuous improvement to ensure an efficient and reliable operation according to current and future business processes
- Collaboration with QIMS power users and JTI Global IT teams to gather business requirements concerning new / revised business processes in QIMS, validation of functional requirements, configuration, user acceptance testing and final implementation in QIMS production environment
- Implementation of new business processes in QIMS, either by using full toolset for administration or by addressing formal change request to JTI Global IT teams and contributing actively to all phases until successful implementation
- Collaboration with all QIMS power users and JTI Global IT teams to ensure detailed and relevant documentation of requirements, follow-up on software application development stages, acceptance testing and implementation of all future business processes
- Implementation of online data collection for QA laboratory instruments, either by configuration in collaboration with local IT or by addressing routine change requests to JTI Global IT teams
- Creation of new analysis reports with the ART (Advanced Reporting Tool) QIMS module, by simple design (template-based) or by advanced design (T-SQL-based) upon request of the QIMS power users and the QA management
- 1st level support for the QIMS user community and supervision of data correction in QIMS
- Relevant educational background: University degree, e.g. in Computer Science or in another technical / scientific field
- Practical experience: Sound working experience in similar roles, including development and / or administration of complex Microsoft SQL database applications. Experience with root cause analysis
- Valuable knowledge: Strong knowledge of online data acquisition, data management and T-SQL-based advanced reporting. Knowledge of SAP business processes designed for specification management and production plants
- Special strengths: Business focus, sound analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills. Fluent in English, written and spoken. Business knowledge of cigarette production processes as well as R&D and QA processes as an advantage
