Job Title: Conveyancing Associate
Salary:£36,750 - £75,220 FTE (experience dependant)
Reports to:Head of Conveyancing
Holiday: 6.4 weeks (inc. Bank Holidays and time off between Christmas and New Year)Plus an additional day foryour birthday.
Hours of Work:Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am-5pm (Ability to reduce to Tuesday and Thursday only)

Summary of Position:Managing your own caseload under supervision of the Head of Conveyancing.
Required Qualification:
- LLB (Hons) or GDL or PgDL or other Degree or Level 4 CLC Diploma in Conveyancing Law & Practice;
- LPC PgDip or LLM Legal Practice (SQE1 & SQE2) or SQE1 and SQE2 or CILEX Professional Diploma in Legal Practice or Level 6 CLC Diploma in Conveyancing Law & Practice;
- 2 years qualifying work experience (subject to any exemption) or Training Contract or 1200 hours CLC practical experience.
Required Experience:
- Attending clients to take instructions, progress matters, and provide advice.
- Providing both written and verbal advice to clients.
- Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Attending networking events and building strong relationships with referrers such as Estate Agents, Surveyors and Accountants.
- Managing a caseload of Freehold and Leasehold Sales, Purchases, Remortgages and Transfers from start to finish with supervision from the Head of Department.
- Researching and interpreting complex questions of law and discussing this with colleagues.
- Keeping up to date regarding new developments in the law and reporting back on findings tocolleagues and/or providing training to colleagues where necessary.
- Utilising a case management system.
- Advising clients on SDLT rules under the supervision of the Head of Department.

- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills to effectively:
- translate complex concepts into everyday language for clients;
- refer and receive tasks to/from colleagues to seamlessly facilitate the running of aneffective department;
- liaise with all third parties in a professional manner.
- Strong writing skills to draft professional and accurate legal documents and reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to arrive at the best legal solutions for anyproblem you come across.
- Solid researching skills to provide the necessary information for yourself or colleagues whenfaced with a question of law.
- Good organisational skills to deal with a heavy workload and multiple simultaneous cases.
- Excellent IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Apps.
Desirable Experience and Skills:
- Ability to manage New Build, Shared Ownership, Voluntary and Statutory Lease Extensions, Collective Enfranchisement and other Real Estate matters under the supervision of the Head of Department.
- Completed CQS accreditation core modules.
- Familiarity with Quill as a case management system.
