Their products are becoming more advanced and diagnostic, electric skills are highly desirable.Responsibilities of the Resident Service Engineer: Servicing and repair of material handling equipment.Ordering of parts as efficiently as possible & ensuring all stock levels/movement records are accurate & correctEnsure all paperwork is completed accurately & within the stipulated time period & with the relevant order numbersManage own work-in-progressMaintain a safe working environment & work in a safe mannerReport any unsafe practices or potential hazards immediatelyTo maintain familiarization with policies & procedures & adhere to these. E.g. IT Policy, absence policy, etc.Attend training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipmentRequirements of the Resident Service Engineer: NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance, Plant or similar is essentialServed full apprenticeshipResident Service Engineers, Workshop Technicians, Vehicle Technicians, Master Technicians, Mechanics, Plant Fitters, Roadside Recovery, Agricultural Engineers, FLT Engineers are all consideredTechnical experience in Engines, Electrics, and Diagnostics is compulsory.Salary and BenefitsStarting salary circa to £31k to £33k+ with additional salary benefitsOvertime available over a standard 40-hour week paid at time and a half.
