Location:Hiraeth House, Swansea
Contracted Hours:Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours), potential for some opportunities to WFH. Part time applications of 30 hours and above will be considered.
Salary:£18 per hour.

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of Hiraeth House, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for residents. This role involves strategic planning, compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a positive and supportive environment for both staff and residents. The Registered Manager will lead the team in delivering person-centred care and promoting the values of Empower Support.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring high-quality care and support for residents.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care.
Lead and manage the care team, providing supervision, training, and development to foster a positive and supportive working environment and a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintainhigh standards of care.
Ability to oversee recruitment and forecast demands on training and staffing levels.
Resident Support
Build positive relationships with residents, and external stakeholders, including their families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies promoting open communication and partnership working.
Promote a positive and inclusive environment for residents and staff.
Screen referrals for appropriateness, conduct assessments and write reports/brokerage responses to assessments.
Develop and implement comprehensive support plans and risk assessments tailored to the individual needs of residents, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Sound knowledge of mental health conditions and varying support needed.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with CIW and Social Care Wales regulations and standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.
Prepare for and manage inspections by regulatory bodies.
Manage health and safety in the workplace.
Quality Assurance
Implement and monitor quality assurance systems to continually improve service delivery.
Handle complaints and incidents professionally, ensuring proper resolution and learning.
Person Specification/About You:
Qualifications:
Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
OR a degree in nursing, social work or occupational therapy (willing to work towards a management qualification within 3 years).
Registration with Social Care Wales (or willingness to register).
Experience:
Minimum of 2 yearsexperience in a managerial role within a residential care setting preferably with individuals with complex mental health needs.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of CIW and Social Care Wales regulations, health and social care legislation and regulatory requirements.
OR a health/social care professional with a background in clinical care looking for a change in career path.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
Organised and autonomous.
Adaptable and able to deal with shifting priorities and handle unexpected challenges with composure and effectiveness under pressure.
