*Our ideal candidate:*
* Has 3-5 years working in a related position in the landscape industry (residential account and field management as well as horticultural services sales) with an emphasis on current trends in horticulture and lawn and landscape specific maintenance. \*\*
* Or has 1-3 years industry experience in a related position (residential account and field management as well as horticultural services sales) along with a horticulture, or similar degree from an accredited university. Certificates in either will be considered. \*\*
* Has a valid driver's license and can maintain a good driving record \*\*
* Demonstrates essential knowledge of horticulture and irrigation practices (e.g., turf, shrubs, ground cover, plants, weeds, pests, sprinkler controllers & heads), with a proven track record;
* Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of native plant material used most commonly in our area to include Trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals;
* Can prepare estimates for enhancements, routine maintenance programs to existing clientele of Summit, and understands related contracts;
* Routinely call, text, and email existing clients of Summit to maintain the company/client relationship;
* Maintain a list of “comprehensive” (i.e full-service mowing, PHC, land maint and install) clientele with routine “touches” (i.e. email, phone call, text, in-person) to ensure they are happy, bridge any communication gaps, solve any issues, etc.. strengthening the client/company relationship;
* Follow-up with all newly completed landscaping customers, ensure they are satisfied with the product, propose new ongoing maintenance services;
* Notifies clients of services in advance of the service being performed, follow up upon completion;
* Meets crews on site to ensure the scope of work is being fully executed upon;
* Performs routine site audits and routine property checks to maintain quality standards;
* Meet customers on site for estimates, walk-throughs, site audits and reviews, issue resolution, or to strengthen company/client relationship;
* Ensures gross margin goals are met by establishing crew goals with the Maintenance Division head and crew, clarifying expectations, and holding crews accountable for performance;
* Demonstrate and perform landscape maintenance and install services such as bed weeding, shrub pruning, flower planting, plant installation;
* Assist with training of crews on the various services provided;
* Assists with job specific purchasing and materials procurement when needed;
* Ensures all work meets company quality standards;
* Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and accountability at all times;
* Is results oriented in all aspects of performance;
* Operates landscape hand tools and light equipment efficiently and safely;
* Can interpret landscape plans;
* Possesses irrigation system knowledge such as controller programming, simple head adjustments.
* Leads on-site scope of work meetings, work demonstration, or training with crews when needed;
* Provides excellent service (e.g., accurate, complete, and timely) to clients, work-site partners, and company staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
* Assist with snow and ice services during the snow season;
