About Us:

Virtigo Sand & Stone is a leading provider of sand, gravel, and aggregate supplies, with a dedicated workshop responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks, farm machinery, and construction/plant hire equipment. We are seeking an experienced Workshop & Parts Procurement Manager to take charge of our parts procurement process, inventory management, and workshop operations.

Please Note:

This position is only open to candidates with significant experience as a workshop foreman or in a similar role within the transport industry , particularly with truck parts and tyre management . Candidates without this experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the procurement of parts, tyres, and materials necessary for maintaining and repairing our fleet.
Conduct regular stock take to ensure the workshop is adequately stocked and efficiently managed.
Oversee workshop operations to ensure repairs, maintenance, and services are completed on time and to high standards.
Work closely with suppliers to negotiate best prices and ensure timely deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of all inventory, supplier agreements, and purchases.
Ensure all procurement processes adhere to health and safety standards.
Collaborate with the admin office to ensure payments to suppliers are processed promptly.
Manage tyre procurement and tracking for all trucks in the fleet.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a workshop foreman , parts manager , or similar role in a transport or logistics setting.
Extensive experience in truck tyre management and procurement of truck parts .
Strong organisational and inventory management skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Ability to work onsite, overseeing day-to-day procurement and workshop operations.
Competency in managing stock take and maintaining inventory control.

Work Conditions:

Full-time, onsite position located 14km outside Malmesbury.
