An opportunity has arisen for a practice nurse to join our small, friendly rural surgery in St Keverne, based on the Lizard Peninsula. We are looking forward to hearing from experienced practice nurses. Duties will include general treatment room duties including smears, immunisations, wound care and long-term conditions.

Training will be available for the right candidate and pay will be based on band 6-7 depending on experience. Part or full time considered.

We have a team of 2 GP partners, nursing team, admin/dispensary staff to 2,900 patients.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a medical practice setting
- Perform physical assessments and collect patient health histories
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by healthcare providers
- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care
- Conduct patient education on various health topics
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and symptoms
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficient in providing patient care and performing clinical procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and medication administration
