We currently have a great opportunity for a career minded individual to join our wastewater team as the performance manager at our Farnham Sewage Treatment area.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver the day-to-day operations and improvements of the wastewater treatment processes with in the Home Counties area.
Through effective leadership, management, and safety of field resources, you will be responsible for monitoring operational processes against set performance and expenditure targets, our regulatory obligations, along with statutory requirements.
As the Performance Manager it is envisaged in your role you will inspire and motivate a multi-skilled team where you will drive a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and engagement into which behavioural safety is embedded.
What youll be doing as the Performance Manager

You are responsible fortheperformance management and leadership of your team in accordance with company policies, ensuring the competence of individuals through coaching and training to maximise their potential.
You are responsible for identifying, mitigating, resolving andescalating risk across7 sewage treatment sites including a strategic sludge import centre.
You will need to delivera consistent approach to asset operation and maintenance to deliver a cost efficient,robust and safe operation 24/7.
Understand and articulate changes within the budget at regular performance review sessions. Ensuring the budget is managed effectively in relation to H&S, compliance, people and performance.
You have responsibility for deliveringa safeserviceto the customer base in your area, by driving a culture of continuous improvement and best practice within the team.
Health and safetyisat the centre of everything we do and as such you will be responsible for implementing this with your site and team.

What you should bring to the role

We are looking for a proven manager, ideally someone who hasprocessor operationalmanagement experience with strong skills inengineering, finance,H&S and stakeholder engagement.
You will need excellent people and performance management skillsto support and drive a team of mixed skills and abilities.
A stronghealth and safety andcustomer-basedethics.
Excellent organisational and risk management skillsare alsoneeded. Good interpersonal and communicationskills - both written and verbal are essential for the role. Strong computer skills are also desirable. A valid driving licence is required in order to travel to different sites.

Competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
