Position: Head of Data

Reports To: Chief Information Officer

Role Overview: The Head of Data will shape and lead our data strategy, architecture, and team. This role is crucial for managing and utilizing our data assets to drive business success. You’ll collaborate with various departments to ensure data-driven decision-making and compliance with privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand the Business Strategy: Translate the company’s business strategy into a vision and requirements for the data landscape, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Data Architecture Design: Design a robust, scalable data architecture that adheres to best practices and is future-proof.
Data Management Oversight: Oversee data collection, storage, management, quality, and protection to ensure data is accessible, secure, and of high quality.
AI Capabilities Strategy: Lead the evaluation and adoption of AI technologies to benefit the organization, partners, and young people.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a team of data professionals, creating an organizational design that supports current and future business needs. Assist in recruiting top-tier data talent.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business success.
Data Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and lead the data governance strategy to maintain data security and confidentiality.
Promote Data-Driven Culture: Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization and build partnerships with business decision-makers.
Data Availability Strategies: Develop strategies to make data available to business and external users safely and securely.
Performance Metrics and KPIs: Establish and track performance metrics and KPIs for the data environment, allowing for adjustments based on changing business priorities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in data management.
Proven experience in data strategy, architecture, and team management.
Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools, and cloud technologies.
