The ideal candidate will have a solid background in bookkeeping/accounting with excellent numerical skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently. The candidate must live in George and preferably be a non-smoker.

Academic qualifications and skills required:

Matric with a formal accounting or bookkeeping qualification is essential.
A minimum of 3 years work related experience.
In-depth practical understanding and working knowledge of Sage Online and Pastel is essential.
Assist our accountant in processing of financial records onto a computerised accounting system resulting in an accurate and complete set of books.
Excellent problem solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Advanced MS Excel capabilities.
The ability to process routine and non-routine accounting entries.
Perform financials to Trial Balance with supporting sub-ledgers.
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
Good work ethic and initiative.
Perform bookkeeping duties such as recording, posting and processing day to day debtors/creditors financial transactions and to perform related reconciliations.
Preparation of monthly financial statements.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory returns for 4 legal entities.

Pay: Up to R16000,00 per month
