Emsworth Specialist Practice is a specialist referral practice located in Havant town centre. The practice is well regarded for its high standards and excellent patient care, offering periodontics, surgical and prosthodontic specialist care for private patients.

*Job Description: *This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team as a self-employed dental hygienist at our busy practice on the outskirts of Havant town centre. This position is advertised at 12 hours per week over two days. Ideally a Monday or Tuesday *and* Fridays, but this is negotiable depending on the right candidate’s availability.

*The role:*
* Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
* Communicate with patients in a friendly and caring manner
* Offer preventative dental health and the treatment of gum disease
* Ability to work to the Periodontist’s prescription and on a Direct Access basic
* Passionate about our patients’ oral hygiene

*Work experience and skills:*
* Excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of SOE
* Passionate and committed
* Diligent and hard working
* Reliable
* Ability to work without chairside assistance (we do have decon support)

*Academic or trade qualifications:*
* Qualification in Dental Hygiene
* Registration with the General Dental Council
* Post qualification experience
* IT literate, knowledge of the SOE practice management system would be an advantage
* Ability to provide a portfolio of documented evidence of CPD attained.
