Machinist / Tool room Operative

BSW Timber Solutions Ltd are part of the very successful BSW Group, one of the largest manufacturing businesses in the UK. BSW Timber Solutions, are a leading timber manufacturer and distributer to the DIY, and Builders Merchant markets.

We are looking to recruit an experienced skilled Machinist or Tool room Operative to join our dynamic team. If you are a skilled machinist or tool room operative and have experience working with timber or in a similar environment, and you're passionate about safety and efficiency we'd love to hear from you!

Main responsibilities:

Ensuring Health and Safety rules are always abided to.
Supporting and training a team on this line.
Keeping good clear written records of product details.
Ensuring you work within the given tolerances and quality of finished goods.
Maintaining general cleanliness of the factory environment at all times.
Supporting with breakdowns and troubleshooting problems.

We are looking for someone who has:

3 Years experience in the setting of Hydro and HSK machines – this is desirable.
Wood machining qualifications – this is advantageous.
Experience running automated lines desirable.
The ability to problem solve and fault find.
Strong awareness of Health and Safety.
High levels of accuracy and efficiency.
Excellent attention to detail is essential.
Effective communication skills.
Experience in toolroom operations and Protocols advantageous

The proposed working pattern for this shift is 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm, rotating on a weekly basis.
