We are looking for a Mechanical operator to join our highly motivated and energetic Cut & Edge Board shop team, based at a reputable retailer in Gezina, Gauteng. Responsibilities and Duties

Skill and expertise in operating woodworking machinery
Maintenance of machinery to ensure efficiency while conforming to quality standards
Starts the machine and feeds components into a machine that applies glue to the edges of stock, pulls edging strips from the feed chute onto the edges, and dries glue on heated plates
Reading and interpreting cut lists and following verbal instructions
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
Cleaning the machine and workstation at the end of a shift and ensuring that the preventative maintenance schedule is adhered to, indicating parts that need to be regularly oiled, greased, and sprayed

Qualifications and Skills Essential Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience
Must be willing to work retail hours
Own vehicle is essential
“Can do” positive and enthusiastic attitude
Friendly, efficient, and flexible ability to find solutions
Good communication skills
Good mathematics
Well organized, reliable, and hard-working as well as a strong team player
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be able to pay close attention to detail
