Our client, a leading organisation in the public sector housing industry, is seeking an Assistant Right to Buy Officer to join their team This temporary position offers a competitive hourly rate and presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Council's mission of assisting tenants in purchasing their rented properties.
As an Assistant Right to Buy Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Leasing Team in facilitating the Right to Buy service. This will involve assisting with the conveyancing process, calculating sale offers, and providing general advice and guidance to tenants interested in purchasing their properties through the Right to Buy scheme. You will also liaise with external agencies, verify customer information, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
To be successful in this role, you should have knowledge of the Housing Act 1985 and the Right to Buy process. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, as you will be dealing with members of the public in sensitive situations. Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and housing management databases, is also required.
