SHE Advisor
Hays Health & Safety are delighted to be working with a large housebuilding organisation based in the North East to find an Experienced and Driven SHE Advisor.
As this company continues to grow, they are seeking a SHE Advisor with experience in residential construction who is passionate about Health & Safety.
You will hold a NEBOSH in Construction or equivalent and be a member of IOSH and ideally have experience in housebuilding.
Your new role
Identify the roles and responsibilities in respect of the CDM Regulations projects and agree on a course of action with key stakeholders.Implement policies and procedures that relate to SHE guidelines. Promote the behavioural approach through site visits, management meetings, and forums.Report any issues arising on site or within business units which may impact compliance or resource requirements.Support business in assessing and improving SHE performance.Support the business in measuring and monitoring performance against the Group and Divisional Sustainability Route Maps.Assist site management in Preparing Construction SHE Plans.Carry out formal SHE reviews on all sitesProvide all SHE information to site teams via toolbox talks, forums etc.Support with monthly SHE reporting.Assist in dealing with enquiries from statutory bodies.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be driven to uphold SHE Principles and standards at all times and be a confident communicator with both site teams and management. You will have the ability to work independently and plan your own workload.
You will have prior experience within a Housebuilding Health & Safety advisory role or equivalent within the construction industry and hold all the relevant qualifications.
You will be comfortable mentoring and coaching site teams, completing Health & Safety reports and delivering briefings to large site teams.
