Our Digitalization & IT unit controls and supports the use of engineering software in the BASF Group.
- You are responsible for the CAE applications used to plan electrical and instrumentation (E&I) in engineering, with a focus on Ludwigshafen and Antwerp
- They coordinate the collaboration with software manufacturers and are in contact with the global expert community.
- You improve the performance and availability of applications, think beyond system boundaries and integrate the systems into the existing CAE landscape using modern interfaces.
- They promote the continuous optimization of work processes within the team as well as for the users.
- They distribute task packages, ensure the quality of the results and develop minor adjustments themselves.
- successfully completed studies in engineering, computer science or a similar field
- Knowledge of requirements management and entrepreneurial thinking
- Experience in project management, managing software vendors and ideally coordinating distributed teams
- good practical IT knowledge (SQL and at least one programming language), ideally in an industrial environment
- Experience in independently familiarizing yourself with new IT systems; experience in supporting CAE applications is an advantage
- Interest in working in a team to achieve goals together
