Responsibilities:
- Follow up daily with airlines confirming flight arrival times (work with de-grouping manifest).
- Ensure cargo is drawn as soon as possible from airline/agent.
- Follow up on delays and part shipment.
- Check damages with airline and endorse damage report.
- Communicate internally with any delays on consolidations and check if there are any VOCs.
- Manage return of part shipment slip to the controller.
- Attend to queries raised by controller.
- Ensure that cargo is efficiently packed, stacked, and secured in position on the trucks to prevent damage while loading shipments.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid code 10 drivers licence with PDP
- Matric/Grade 12 is essential
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in cargo drawing from different foreign airlines
- Thorough knowledge of airline procedures
- Must have a sense of urgency to handle extreme pressure and be able to meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Willing to work after hours/weekends and on public holidays when required
- Must be a team player
