Your opportunity:
The Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) is recognized for its clinical, educational, and research excellence. The DFCM houses the Physician Assistant (PA) Program, a full-time professional undergraduate degree program.
As the PA Program Clinical Placement Coordinator, you will coordinate all mandatory clinical placements for PA Students, recruit and maintain relationships with practicum sites, ensure timely submission of placement agreements, and advise learners and preceptors regarding clinical placements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating clinical placement schedules and assessing student learning outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining templates for schedules, communications, and procedural documentation.
- Fostering positive relations with stakeholders to support student placement activities.
- Ensuring contracts and agreements are consistent with University standards.
- Assisting with faculty appointments and promotions.
- Updating and maintaining records pertaining to clinical placements.
- Processing stipends and reimbursements.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum three years’ relevant administrative experience in an academic and/or health care setting.
- Knowledge of clinical placement policies and processes.
- Experience coordinating rotation schedules.
- Experience fostering relations with stakeholders.
- Experience maintaining databases and generating reports.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy.
- Experience coordinating events and workshops.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite and video conference platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
