At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.
Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.
Focused on relationships, you are building meaningful client connections, and learning how to manage and inspire others. Main Purpose
The position requires the incumbent to provide Income Tax and VAT services. This person might also be involved in payroll administration and tax compliance services.
Reporting Structure: Reports to Manager / Director
Administrative Support: Department PA
Key Performance Areas
- Liaising with colleagues and clients to provide tax consulting services.
- Managing a range of tax assignments reporting to managers and directors.
- Performing IT and VAT reviews/audit documentation as part of statutory audits.
- Performing IT and VAT related research.
- Interpreting IT and VAT legislation.
- Liaising with SARS and handling queries raised by SARS if needed.
- Implement methodologies, standards and processes on all assignments to ensure quality.
- Identify opportunities and understand business.
- Complying with risk management procedures.
- Billing client work.
- Performing general project administration.
Requirements
Qualification/ Education: B Com Degree
Experience: Training contract completed
