Zutari is excited to welcome an aspiring and tech-savvy Bridge Engineer to our team. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of bridge design and construction. We value candidates who thrive in team settings and can contribute effectively to multidisciplinary projects.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and analysis of concrete/steel bridge structures, adhering to relevant codes and standards.
- Contribute to the preparation of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, upholding our quality standards.
- Collaborate with and support professional staff across various locations.
- Participate in the design process, from initial concepts to final outputs.
- Support senior engineers in supervising and guiding junior team members.
- Explore and suggest innovative design alternatives for various projects.
- Engage in fast-paced design and construct projects.
- Offer support during the construction phase of diverse structural projects.
- Assist in load rating evaluations for bridge structures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in bridge design, preferably 2-8 years.
- Adaptability in a dynamic work environment and the ability to handle project shifts.
- Basic proficiency in digital engineering tools and techniques.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Skilled in technical communication and interpretation.
- Eager to learn and adopt new digital tools and workflows.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng) in Structural/Civil Engineering.
- Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA), or an equivalent body, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with basic structural analysis and design tools.
- Experience with Revit and BIM workflows is beneficial.
