Job Description:
- Assist engineers and maintenance with design, development, and technical tasks.
- Analyze data to identify process improvements and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Contribute to product/system development and conduct tests to validate changes.
- Identify areas for improvement in engineering processes.
- Support the implementation of new systems/software to enhance productivity.
- Maintain records of changes and outcomes.
- Manage GM's schedule and coordinate meetings/travel.
- Draft communications and prepare meeting materials.
- Attend meetings, take minutes, and follow up on actions.
- Organize and maintain engineering records.
- Monitor project progress and track tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate resources (equipment, materials) for projects.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and other departments.
- Manage technical supplies and inventory.
- Order materials as required for projects.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas.
- Report safety hazards, accidents, and incidents.
- Apply quality standards and maintain GMP.
- Comply with site-specific food safety standards and report hazards.
- Assess strengths and areas for improvement and take action.
- Stay updated on innovations and technical advancements.
- Promote teamwork and leadership skills.
- Ensure team members know how to find information when you're unavailable.
- Follow company principles and lead by example in behavior and work ethic.
Skills & Experience:
- 2-5 Years' relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of fault finding and equipment testing methods.
- In-depth understanding of health and safety (H&S) procedures and safe working practices.
- Technical expertise in production processes, including equipment, raw materials, moulds, and downstream equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant quality systems and certifications.
- Solid administrative skills, including managing documentation and records.
- Effective problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting equipment and processes.
- Experience in installing parts and related equipment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Capable of making quick, decisive actions, when necessary, especially in urgent situations.
- High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and conflict resolution.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2-5 years relevant experience.
- Grade 12.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field.
