To maintain the integrity of the financial accounting function in accordance with sound accounting practices, company policy, and legislative requirements for the retail division and its subsidiaries.
Location: South Africa
QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification (BCom Accounting and/or Management Accounting).
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- At least 2 – 3 years’ relevant financial experience.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in the retail and procurement industry will be advantageous.
- SAIPA will be advantageous.
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of General Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Knowledge of budgeting processes.
- Understanding financial accounting and treasury.
- Knowledge of computerized financial systems – Syspro will be advantageous.
