Boltfast, a leading distributor of industrial fasteners, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Sales Developer to join our team. This strategic role is integral to driving our sales functions across Southern Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing sales, building strong customer relationships, and driving the company's sales strategy at a national and African level.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Growth and Territory Management (40%)
· Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets within the assigned territory and team.
· Call on customers both in corporate/office environments and on-site.
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships individually and with the team.
· Present and promote Boltfast products and services.
· Maintain a strong sales pipeline and effectively plan territory management with your team.
· Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts of your team.
· Arrange and host weekly sales meetings.
· Report on lost orders weekly and take steps to recover potential sales.
2. Market Development and Expansion (25%)
· Identify opportunities to grow market share in existing market segments.
· Identify and penetrate new market segments within the agreed territory.
· Promote Boltfast products and services to potential customers in new markets.
3. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (15%)
· Ensure accurate and timely updates to the CRM system through sales team, including customer details, competitor activities, promotions, and product information.
· Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions and sales progress of your team.
4. Administration and Reporting (10%)
· Ensure timely follow-up on all customer enquiries to avoid missed opportunities, individually and with team.
· Administer and complete daily and weekly activity planners to optimise time and territory management.
· Address customer queries and ensure necessary administrative tasks are completed during on-site visits.
· Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations to customers when necessary.
5. General Responsibilities (10%)
· Project a professional image and uphold Boltfast’s reputation for service excellence.
· Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
· Comply with all company and legal safety requirements.
· Work harmoniously with other employees and maintain confidentiality regarding company matters.
· Perform additional tasks as requested by management, adhering to Boltfast’s operational guidelines.

Minimum qualifications and Experience
· BCom/Sales Degree or Sales Diploma
· 5+ years of sales experience in a business-to-business environment
· Proven track record of increasing revenue and market share
· Previous experience in Africa is essential
· Experience in Mining/Construction/Manufacturing/Industrial sectors is advantageous
· Clear criminal record
· Valid, unendorsed driver’s license
A market related remuneration package is offered, with high incentive structures, including use of a company car and cell phone, membership of a pension fund, life insurance and funeral cover.
