Full job description
A busy multidisciplinary psychology practice is looking for a vibrant, articulate, and experienced Administrator. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transport is required.
Responsibilities
- Managing the diaries of allocated clinicians.
- Issuing receipts.
- Scheduling of appointments.
- Dealing with claim queries and PMB applications to medical aids.
- Contacting newly referred clients for appointments.
- Managing medical aid queries.
- Follow up on unpaid accounts.
- Responding to inquiries.
- Assist with account queries.
- Maintaining professional communication.
- Daily cash up for the branch.
- Switchboard management.
- Manage petty cash for the branch.
- Receiving clients in the reception area.
- Ensure the practice is always neat and tidy.
- Collection of payments.
- Filing.
Experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience as administrator in the medical/allied health professions industry - Essential
- Experience in at least one medical management software program – Essential
- Experience in doing billing and collections of payments - Essential.
- Having GoodX experience will be an advantage.
- Matric - Essential
Skills
- The ability to manage 3 to 4 psychologists’ diaries with accuracy and precision.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of practice management systems.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Afrikaans.
- Financial management skills, such as daily cash up and petty cash.
