SmartPro are working a specialist manufacturer in Swansea who have recently opened a new site and are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various machinery within a production setting. This role involves some physical tasks, mixing products and operating machinery while ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control measures.
Hours: 830am - 5pm Monday - Friday
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:
- Accurately pick and weigh raw materials
- Manufacture bulk product according to blend sheet quantities and mixing instructions, recording batch numbers for traceability.
- Following all SSOW and Quality procedures.
- Transferring bulk product into storage vessels and containers.
- Cleaning of mixing vessels and general housekeeping.
- Relocating raw materials into the storage area.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
Experience for the Machine Operator:
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing or priduction environment.
- Ability to carry heavy loads.
- Strong understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
- Has an appreciation of Health & Safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills.
