An exciting position exists at Medipost Pharmacy, Gezina reporting to the CCMDD Stock Procurement Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving of Stock:
Stock is received from:
• Kawari
• Medipost Pre Dispensing
• Suppliers (Transpharm, Alphaharm)
Process for receiving from Suppliers:
• Ensure all gates are closed and all unauthorized personnel are out of the receiving area.
• Count all boxes and parcels being offloaded.
• Ensure that all attached paperwork is included with the delivery.
• Compare and mark the delivery note in accordance with the boxes received.
• The process must be done with security present.
• The medication must be kept on the pallets.
• The delivery note must be signed by the receiver and the security personnel.
• Stock boxes are captured on the system individually.
• Two GRVs are printed:
o Both are signed by Driver, receiver, and double checker.
o Copies are kept by receiving as proof.
• Boxes are opened.
• Tax invoices must be checked in accordance with the stock received in the box.
• The stock is then captured on the system individually.
• Before updating, check the following and ensure that it corresponds with the invoice:
o Name
o Strength
o Pack size
o Expiry dates
o Barcode
o Nappi Code
• Stock can be updated and each item sorted individually.
• Compile the documentation consisting of tax invoice, GRV, and delivery note ensuring that the documentation is signed by receiver, security, and double checker.
• The Supplier stock is to be placed in the allocated areas.
• All documentation must be handed to the administrator for capturing.
• All problems must be reported and handled according to the SOP. - Receiving Stock from Kawari:
• All stock brought in from Kawari must be confirmed by security.
• Quantity of the boxes must match the quantity written on the transfer.
• The transfer must be signed off and the original must be kept.
• All stock must be kept on the pallet whilst inspecting all transfer numbers as well as the location.
• Each item should be counted and captured on the system.
• Incorrect quantities, expired, short dated, and damaged stock must be reported immediately.
• Documentation should be compiled according to SOP and the stock is then captured and double checked accordingly for the transfer.
• Stock to be moved to the replenishing area. - Receiving Pre Dispensing:
• Stock to be sent with the lift. Stock to be packed in storage bins.
• Remove pallet from lift and compare the amount of bins received with the amount of bins on the transfer.
• All items to be scanned and expiry dates to be checked.
• Stock to be captured and moved to the double checker to be double checked.
• Paperwork to be filed.
• Once double check is complete, stock must be moved to the replenishing area. - Receiving Schedule 6:
• When receiving Schedule 6 medication, ensure that a pharmacist is present.
• All Schedule 6 medication to be checked by receiver and pharmacist.
• Schedule 6 medication is high priority and must be captured immediately.
• Scheduled 6 medication is handed to the pharmacist that is to lock it away immediately.
• Ensure that the proper documentation is signed by the responsible pharmacist.
• Paperwork should be compiled and original documentation is handed to the responsible pharmacist. - Receiving of Ice:
• Thermo label products take priority over other products. Before capturing, check the temperature is between 2 – 8 degrees.
• Ice packs should be included to ensure that the ice products are kept cold during the receiving process.
• Check expiry dates.
• Scan and capture the product.
• Immediately place the fridge line product in the replenishing fridge. - Ensuring the Housekeeping SOP is Followed:
• Keeping the receiving area clean and double-checking areas.
• Making sure no stock is handled outside the GPP standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 is enforced. - Ad Hoc Tasks:
• Complete all ad hoc tasks that are given ensuring that it is completed within the time requirement that was given.
• Sending of members to assist in departments where assistance is required.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical/Life Sciences.
SAPC Registered as Learner Basic.
Experience:
2-3 Years experience in Medipost App and Medipost process.
