A Talent Advisor’s mission is to empower developers to succeed in finding their dream job on OfferZen while providing the best possible customer experience. Our team achieves our goals by building great relationships with customers and providing expert advice relating to their job search. Talent Advisors support customers throughout their journey on the OfferZen marketplace. We collaborate with our customers, with other Talent Advisors in the team and with Account Managers, who perform a similar role working with companies on OfferZen.
Responsibilities
Placement Delivery
- Our candidates expect to find their next job aligned with their career goals, on OfferZen. You influence and coach the maximum number of candidates in your portfolio to find new jobs through OfferZen.
- You proactively work with the candidates in your portfolio to understand their needs and add value as they navigate their job search journey (roughly 100-120 candidates actively engaging with companies on OfferZen at any given time).
- You guide candidates with expert marketplace knowledge and interview advice, to empower them to reflect on and assess all potential opportunities that arise during their job search.
- You will need to create urgency with candidates accepted onto the platform to notify you if & when they want to go live on the platform. This ensures we make the most out of the supply we have.
Collaboration
- You work closely with both candidates and OfferZen account managers to facilitate successful, long-lasting placements on OfferZen. This collaboration typically includes:
- Making sure candidates have a good understanding of how companies and recruiters think and operate.
- Helping candidates and companies ask good probing questions and communicate effectively to determine whether they’re a good fit.
- Preempt and actively seek to prevent blockers from progressing for both candidates and companies.
- Supporting candidates and companies in negotiating possible offer terms before any contracts are signed.
- You work closely with your team and team lead to develop team ‘best practice’, which should enable our team to deliver this high-quality service consistently to all of OfferZen’s customers.
Candidate Experience & Support
- You contribute to establishing & maintaining the OfferZen brand in the developer community.
- You respond quickly and efficiently to the needs of all the candidates in your portfolio to ensure they have an awesome experience with OfferZen, and to maximise their chances of finding their dream job.
- You formulate data-driven opinions and ideas for improving the candidate experience, in the interest of maintaining high levels of candidate retention.
- You solve human problems relating to all phases of the candidate's job search on the OfferZen platform.
- You advise candidates on tech job search marketplace dynamics, and how the OfferZen marketplace works and help them build a profile that is an excellent and true representation of their skills, knowledge and experience. This is done on an ad hoc basis.
- You are a product expert who understands and can troubleshoot blockers candidates may encounter while using the OfferZen platform.
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have
- 1 - 4 years of working experience in recruitment or talent acquisition
- A proven track record of achieving measurable results and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong human-centered, customer service focus; a commitment to driving candidate success and customer satisfaction
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with active listening abilities
- You can operate independently in a remote environment and cultivate strong relationships in a primarily remote capacity
- Strong multi-tasking ability and great time-management skills
- Experience tackling problems head-on and articulating lessons learned
- Passion for technology and solving human problems

- The ability to work with various reporting tools and CRM to keep track of your candidates and collaborate with the internal OfferZen team
- Experience working in a startup
