Industrial Relations professional with in-depth knowledge of the Labour Relations Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Act? We have an exciting opportunity for you to play a key role in managing and resolving internal disciplinary matters within a dynamic and expanding corporate environment. At least 3 years experience in an IR role along with CCMA experience secures.
As IR Officer for this fast-growing corporate Head Office, you will be responsible for:
- Manage and resolve disciplinary matters, including investigations, hearings, and disciplinary actions
- Representation in CCMA proceedings, including conciliations, and arbitrations
- Facilitate employee relation inquiries including chairing disciplinary hearings, grievances, incapacity hearings and drafting charges, warnings, and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, and ensuring employment equity compliance
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance
- Addressing employee related matters and contribute to a positive workplace culture
What is required: - Admitted attorney is a strong advantage
- Relevant qualification in Industrial Relations or LLB
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an IR role or similar position, with hands-on CCMA experience
- Employment Equity experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of South African Labour Law, including the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and other relevant legislation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Teams)
