Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Lead - IT to drive our organization's knowledge management strategy, with a strong focus on training and Learning Needs Analysis (LNA). As our Knowledge Lead, you will ensure that critical information is captured, shared, and applied effectively across the business. A key part of your role will be working with teams to assess training needs, develop tailored learning programs, and ensure our employees have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
In addition, this role will be pivotal in owning and configuring our Knowledge Base in Confluence, as well as conducting ad-hoc training sessions to ensure optimal use of our systems and processes.
Primary Responsibilities
This role is accountable for:
- Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the ITSM knowledge management strategy to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to all users.
- Managing the creation, curation, and dissemination of knowledge articles, ensuring they meet quality standards and are aligned with ITIL best practices.
- Overseeing the lifecycle of knowledge articles, including creation, review, approval, and archiving, to maintain relevance and accuracy.
- Conducting comprehensive Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) to identify gaps in skills and knowledge across various departments. Collaborating with team leaders to prioritize training requirements.
- Designing and implementing effective training programs and workshops that address the identified learning needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Administering and optimizing the Confluence platform, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization and is aligned with best practices.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement templates, macros, and workflows within Confluence to enhance content creation and management
- Monitoring the usage and performance of Confluence, providing regular reports and insights to management.
- Facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions and workshops to promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
Ideal candidate will have:
- ITIL certification and/or experience of ITIL practices.
- Experience in a similar role within a large, complex organization.
- 5+ years’ experience as Knowledge Lead in a large global organization.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience in ITSM knowledge management, with a deep understanding of ITIL best practices.
- Strong experience managing Confluence spaces, including configuring spaces, permissions, templates, and integrations.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and train users at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive improvements in knowledge management and Confluence usage.
- Familiarity with Jira Service Management (JSM) and other Atlassian tools is a plus.
