Purpose of the role
To lead sales efforts in a newly established representative office in Johannesburg, South Africa. This hands-on role blends sales leadership, team development, and digital marketing, requiring a combination of field-based activities and a keen understanding of online growth drivers.
Your responsibility
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute a localized sales plan to grow the beauty community.
- Implement a local sales strategy tailored to the market’s size and potential.
- Lead recruitment, training, and team management, ensuring they have the tools for success.
- Identify new business opportunities to drive revenue growth, including partnerships and digital channels.
- Build and nurture relationships with sales leaders, guiding them through business planning and leadership development.
- Organize regular online and offline training sessions for consultants, focusing on product knowledge, wellness, and digital selling skills.
- Support top-performing leaders in expanding their networks by conducting regular advisory sessions for their business growth and leveraging social media and other digital platforms.
- Coordinate and support execution of beauty-related events and initiatives, both online and offline, designed to engage and inspire members of the company’s beauty community.
Market Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze sales performance and market trends, preparing detailed reports to forecast sales and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor strategies, and new digital technologies to ensure ongoing innovation.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum five years of experience in sales management, preferably in the direct selling or cosmetics industry.
- Demonstrated experience in digital marketing and e-commerce strategies.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a traditional or digital sales environment.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in using CRM tools and sales analytics software.
- Ability to work independently, particularly in developing and emerging markets.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and digital support.
- Familiarity with digital marketing best practices and online sales strategies.
