As the International Commercial Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for supporting inbound vendor deals across different regions.
This is a strategic position in which you will have the opportunity to work and liaise with different departments and key stakeholders. It will require you to have a strategic mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development, Marketing & Media, this will be an opportunity to work in a hugely varied role with interesting projects and an international remit.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate and close commercial agreements, including audiovisual rights, broadcast licences, production, and data protection agreements.
- Draft, review, negotiate and close inbound vendor agreements, including software licences and strategic partnerships.
- Maintenance of legal agreements and corporate documentation of several companies in various jurisdictions.
- Help develop and maintain effective contract processes, our contract management system, precedent agreements, and all relevant end-user documents.
Requirements
- Qualified to practice law in the UK, US or a European jurisdiction.
- Working proficiency in English with additional languages such as Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
- 4+ years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer (with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating commercial transactions) at a prominent law firm, a relevant in-house corporate setting, or both.
- In-house legal experience is an advantage.
- Corporate governance and technology contracting experience, including consumer protection and privacy compliance. Experience in Betting and Gaming Law, Responsible Gambling, and AML is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations, prioritise and execute multiple projects, and solve problems creatively in a fast-paced work setting.
- Collaborative team player with a good sense of humour.
