prominent umbrella organization that represents a diverse range of agricultural unions across South Africa is currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled
Financial Manager to join their dynamic team on a
3-year contract . The key function of this role is to
manage financial operations, ensuring compliance, strategic financial planning, and sustainable resource allocation to support its mission .
Duties: - Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to improve financial performance and sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and NGO/NPO financial reporting standards.
- Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the management team and Board of Directors.
- Monitor and manage grant funding and donor contributions, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the organizations assets.
Qualifications & Skills: - BCom Degree (or equivalent) with additional financial qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or similar).
- 8 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the NGO/NPO sector.
- Completion of articles (preferably in a relevant industry).
