Our client is seeking a skilled professional to join their esteemed Life team in Cape Town. This role offers an exceptional mix of technical actuarial duties and commercial exposure. You will play a pivotal role in consolidating valuation results, generating insightful business analyses, and presenting key findings to senior management.
Key Responsibilities: - Valuation Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis and consolidation of Embedded Value (EV) results, preparing thorough reports.
- Financial Reporting: Evaluate and report on financial performance, including profit and new business flows.
- Documentation: Maintain and update valuation basis reports, ensuring precision in monthly pricing.
- Cash Flow & Sensitivity: Oversee monthly cash flows and EV sensitivities, and assess new business value.
- Profit Reporting: Develop and consolidate profit reports for the Retail Affluent sector.
- Auditor Interaction: Supply essential information to both internal and external auditors.
- IFRS17 Reporting: Implement and interpret reporting processes in line with IFRS17 standards.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Produce management reports and tackle various investigative tasks as needed.
Qualifications: - Education: Nearly qualified or recently qualified Actuary with a BSc in Actuarial Science or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of pertinent experience in actuarial reporting.
- Skills: Proficiency with actuarial reporting standards, including IFRS, EV, VNB, and SAM bases.
