Job Overview
Seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead a busy hotel bar and restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse team and showcase your culinary talents in an award-winning hotel.
Responsibilities of the Head Chef role:
• Oversee kitchen operations and manage a team of chefs and kitchen employees.
• Ensuring the highest level of food quality, presentation, consistency, Safety and service is delivered to clients and customers.
• Create innovative menus that reflect current food trends
• Drawing up staff rosters within the allocated budget
• Training and mentoring of staff, continuing a culture of continuous improvement and upskilling.
• Drive a positive work environment.
• Ensuring the highest hygiene standards and compliance of HACCP are maintained in the kitchen and documentation recorded
• Ordering and sourcing of produce and stock
• Management of costs efficiently in achieving target GP.
Requirements:
• Previous experience managing in a busy kitchen.
• Valid work permit.
• HACCP qualification.
• Exceptional leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Computer literacy.
• A passionate and creative approach to cuisine, keeping up to date with current culinary trends.
