THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an opportunity for a Leasing Administrator to assist our Legal Advisor with the vetting and capturing of the backlog of leases, ensuring accurate vetting and administration of retail lease agreements. This is an in-office 1-month contract job and you will be based at our Head Office in Stellenbosch.
DUTIES
- Tasks will be allocated by the Legal Advisor and may include some of the below:
- Load signed lease agreements and renewal addendums onto the master database.
- Manage the property database by ensuring all current documentation is filed in a consistent & standardised manner and all old documentation is removed or archived.
- Regularly review/audit the data on the property master file to ensure data integrity.
- Assist accounts department with operating expense reconciliations.
- Capture all lease agreement terms on the internal database (SAGE) and ensure all data is captured accurately
- Assist with the backlog lease agreements and capture all lease agreement terms on the internal database (SAGE)
- All other duties as assigned and associated with the day-to-day operation of a commercial real estate portfolio.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience (property and/or legal-related work).
- Previous experience working with commercial leases.
- Basic working knowledge of commercial real estate.
- General business and property management acumen.
- SAGE Contracts Module experience will be advantageous.
