The Role
We are seeking an energetic and driven Events Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end event management including developing, planning and executing all AFL & AFLW game day events, commercial events and for assisting in flagship events by providing exceptional engagement and industry leading experiences for all stakeholders.
The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of innovative concepts to exceed client expectations, striving to achieve 100% client retention, increased sales and showcasing the Port Adelaide Football Club brand. This role will drive the department to provide first-class customer services experiences and processes for all internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Management: Plan, deliver and execute all event requirements including menu selection, developing run sheets, script notes, coordination of talent and content. As the main point of contact you will liaise with all suppliers, coordinate invitations, guest lists, seating and internal staffing requirements. Coordinate and reconcile event financials ensuring that events are delivered to budget.
- Guest Experience and Services: Coordinate all tasks to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Effective invitation management, responding to requests and enquiries, VIP attendee acknowledgement, greeting services at events, prepare up to date reports on event attendees and ensure post event follow up improves the experience for guests.
- Systems: Play a lead role in utilising the Club’s CRM database and integrated sales systems. Coordinate communications to guests including EDMs as required and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders and suppliers particularly venues.
What you will bring:
- Experience: Minimum of 4+ years’ experience with a proven track record of success in developing, coordinating, managing and executing a wide spectrum of events in a fast paced, pressurised environment.
- Event Management: Demonstrated experience in event management, preferably in the sporting industry.
- Approach: Strong customer focus and relationship experience. Flexible and adaptable to work outside core hours. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for Sport and its impact on the Community: A deep understanding of the power of sport in changing people's lives plus the unique challenges and opportunities sport and the Port Adelaide Football Club presents.
