We are seeking a talented and motivated mid-weight/senior designer to join our team. As an essential part of our design team, you will work across multiple projects, creating strategic, innovative, and visually compelling branding solutions.
Requirements:
- Experience: Four to seven years of experience in graphic design, with a strong focus on branding and visual identity.
- Portfolio: A diverse portfolio showcasing branding, packaging, digital, and print design work, with demonstrated strategic thinking and strong conceptual skills.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Familiarity with Figma or other prototyping tools is a plus.
- Motion graphics/animation: Experience with motion design and animation (After Effects) is beneficial.
- Digital design: Experience designing for digital platforms, including websites and social media.
- Print production knowledge: Understanding of print processes and experience collaborating with printers to achieve the intended design output.
- Typography and layout: Strong understanding of typography, composition, colour theory, and layout principles.
- Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, polished work.
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Time management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Problem-solving: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative design solutions.
- Collaborative spirit: A team player open to feedback, thriving in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Conceptualisation and design: Lead the design process from concept to final delivery, ensuring alignment with client briefs, timelines, and quality standards.
- Brand development: Create branding solutions, including logos, visual identities, packaging, and other brand collateral, that resonate with target audiences and achieve strategic objectives.
- Creative leadership: Mentor junior designers by providing guidance and feedback while collaborating on multiple projects.
- Client interaction: Participate in client meetings and presentations, understanding their needs, explaining design decisions, and confidently presenting creative concepts.
- Trend awareness: Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and technologies, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to each project.
A degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
